The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Harry N. Jett, Jr., are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 2:00 PM, Thursday November 6, 2014 at Holy Trinity Church, 95 Folly Road. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the James a. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway. Harry's guestbook may be signed at www.JamesAMcAlister.com. Harry was born July 30, 1944 to Harry N. Jett and Irma Louise Shier Jett in Charleston, SC at St. Francis Hospital. His youth was spent in Charleston and at Jellico's Camp on the Edisto River. He graduated from Bishop England High School in 1962. He completed a four year apprenticeship at The Charleston Naval Shipyard, receiving his certification in welding and was respected for his expertise. Harry was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to ski, fish, hunt as well as play cards and chess. His priority was his family. He adored his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and spent many hours sharing his time and life lessons with them. Harry was predeceased by his parents, his son "Happy" Harry N. Jett III, his father-in-law, James S. Pendarvis, sister-in-law, Carolyn E. Pendarvis, and brother-in-law, James Wickstrom. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, "teenie" Marlene P. Jett; his daughters, Lili M. Jett and Lisa J. Hobbs (Richard); sister, Harriett J. Knight; granchildren, Victoria Stidham, Cody Hobbs, Erica Stidham, Joshua Hobbs, and Nicholas Hobbs; mother-in-law, Viola G. Pendarvis; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Wickstrom and Sandy Daniels (Thomas); nieces and nephews, Michele Ann Miles (Dwayne), Tony Glanton, Susan Wilson, and Robbie Glanton (Tara) and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends he dearly loved including Taber Bernados (Heart).
