Harriett Kempson Ahrens

Harriett Kempson Ahrens, 85, of West Ashley, the widow of Henry Peter Ahrens, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 4, 2010. She was born in Kingstree, SC, the daughter of Otis Bright Kempson and Jennie Lee Pearce Kempson on July 15, 1925. Ms. Ahrens was retired from the Naval Supply Center, Charleston Naval Shipyard and a member of James Island Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Kemp C. Ahrens and his wife Olivia; three grandchildren, Jessica Renee Ahrens, Taylor Lee Ahrens, Kempson C. "KC" Ahrens and two brothers, Otis "OB" Kempson, Jr and Harold Kempson. The relatives and friends of Harriett K. Ahrens are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the JAMES A. MCALISTER CHAPEL, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Charleston, (843) 766-1365. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the start of the service at the funeral home. The burial will take place in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
