Harry Clifton Williams, Sr. (Cliff), 63, of Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 27, 2015. The relatives and friends of Cliff Williams are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at the James A. McAlister Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends this Monday evening between 5:00 and 7:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. His guestbook may be signed at www.JamesAMcAlister.com Cliff was born January 9, 1952, in Charleston, SC, son of Clayton M. and Lena A. Williams. He was a lifelong resident of Charleston and attended Stono Park Elementary School, St. Andrews Junior High School, and St. Andrews Parish High School where he graduated in 1970. He also attended the College of Charleston and Trident Technical College. For many years, Cliff and his family owned and operated the Goodie House Restaurant on Calhoun Street, where Cliff could be found cooking the best hash browns, chili and cheeseburgers in Charleston. After retiring from the Goodie House, Cliff went on to work at MUSC for many years. He was a proud former member of the Air Force Reserves and was also a member of Seacoast Church in West Ashley. Other than spending time with his grandson and family, his greatest passions were deer hunting and fishing but, according to his brother C.M., "Cliff was not very good at either one". Cliff is survived by his mother, Lena A. Williams; his two children, Harry C. Williams, Jr. and his fiancée Avery Sygrove, and Danielle Williams; his grandson, River; his brother C. M. Williams and his wife Marilyn; his nephews; numerous cousins and many other great friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Clayton M.
