Guy Bechtler "Buddy" Louthian, 77, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012. Born in York, SC, he was the son of the late Anne Bechtler and Oliver White Louthian. He graduated from York High School in 1952 and attended Presbyterian College. He served in the Army National Guard and had a long career in commercial auto sales. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Jane Louthian, of Charleston; a son, Guy Bechtler "Bubba" Louthian, Jr. and his wife Kathy, of Blythewood; Two daughters, Karen Eileen Louthian of San Antonio, Texas and Julie Louthian Strange of Sumter, SC; A stepson, Matthew Caldwell and his wife Katherine of Mississippi; A sister, Susan Louthian Cobb and her husband Jesse of Clover, SC; In laws Frank & Brenda Broome of Port Orange, Fla. and Richard and Betty Mundy of Trenton, GA; Grandchildren Garet Strange, Christa Louthian, Allen Louthian, and Caroline Caldwell. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Oliver White Louthian, Jr. and Jimmy Louthian. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Guy B. Louthian are invited to attend his Memorial Service at 2:00 PM Monday, July 16, 2012, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. The family will greet friends following the Service.
