Gloria Kinlaw Hoffmann, 64, of Charleston, passed away August 26, 2012. Mrs. Hoffmann was born in Charleston, SC and graduated from James Island High School. She worked in the insurance industry for decades, working for The Olasov Agency, Heffron, Ingle, McDowell and Cooper, Alexander and Alexander Insurance Agents and C.T. Lowndes and Company. Later in her career, she worked for the State of South Carolina's Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. Mrs. Hoffmann was predeceased by her husband, Bruce F. Hoffmann. She is survived by her brother, James Kinlaw; her son, John H. Bentz IV, and his wife, Tricia; her stepchildren, Tess H. Morris, RN and her husband, Jeffrey, Brooke H. Maguire and her husband, Ronald and James T. Hoffmann. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John H. Bentz V, Andrew A. Bentz, Taylor R. Morris, Meghan A. Morris, and Bailey S. Maguire. Mrs. Hoffmann was a member of the James Island Yacht Club Auxiliary. She loved cooking, spending time with her family, dogs and enjoying her leisure. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Gloria Hoffman are invited to A Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 PM, Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston. The family will receive friends following the service.
