Geraldine Z. Pfaehler

Geraldine "Gerry" Zelma Pfaehler entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 21, 2014. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Pfaehler are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 2:30 PM Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in the James A. McAlister Chapel. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery, 10 Cunnington Ave. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday evening at the funeral home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Gerry was born on January 1, 1927 in Guilford, NC. She lived most of her life in Charleston, SC. Gerry loved taking care of the numerous plants in her home and garden. Gerry was an active member of her community. In addition to her 40 years of service to the South Carolina PTA, she was also the SCPTA President from 1979-81. She founded the SCPTA Endowment Fund and the PTA Puzzle Contest. The 78th SCPTA Convention was dedicated in her honor. She is preceded in death by her 5 siblings and her son Robert. She is survived by her husband, Robert Ashley Pfaehler; her sons, Lindsey Pfaehler and Wesley Braxton; her grandchildren, Jonah, Noah, Jeremy, Charlie, Virginia, Duncan, Dustin, and Michael; and 4 great-grandchildren.
