Geraldine 'Gerry' Ann Pastelak

Geraldine 'Gerry' Ann Pastelak, 82, of Johns Island, SC, wife of Eugene Pastelak, died July 08, 2017. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Geraldine A. Pastelak are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM, July 14, 2017, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The family will receive friends immediately following Mass in the parish hall. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Geraldine was born July 06, 1935, in Phoenixville, PA, the daughter of John A. Sikorski and Rose Harilko Sikorski. She was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School of Philadelphia, PA. Gerry was a homemaker and worked as an assistant librarian. After her husband's retirement, they returned to the Charleston area. An avid gardener, she spent her days enjoying wildlife and nature at their home on Johns Island.She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Eugene Pastelak of Johns Island, SC; her son, Christopher Eugene Pastelak (Julie) of Columbia, SC; daughter, Beth Pastelak Geiss (Paulo) of Seabrook Island, SC, and granddaughter, Courtney Victoria Geiss of New York, NY; her sisters, Dorothy Gausch of Phoenixville, PA, and Joanne Dedrick of Boca Raton, FL; and her brother, William Sikorski (Kathleen) of Bristol, CT. Gerry was predeceased by her parents and by her grandson, William Edward Geiss.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 89 Hasell St., Charleston, SC 29401.
