Geraldine Parker Deas

Gerry Deas Geraldine Parker Deas, died on Saturday, June 25, 2011. Mrs. Deas was born in Greenville, SC on Sunday, February 13, 1921, the daughter of the late Austin Smith Parker and Geraldine Buchanan Parker and step-daughter of Robert Stanley Thomson. She was predeceased by her husband, William Bowman Deas. She lived in Charleston throughout her adult life and lived in Greenville, SC and St. Louis, MO during childhood. Mrs. Deas was devoted to her family and her church and was involved in numerous civic, church, and social organizations. She is survived by her three sons, William Bowman Deas, Jr., Austin Parker Deas and Douglas Horry Deas and one grandchild, Lee Parr Deas all of Charleston, SC and her brother, Austin Smith Parker and his wife, Betty Ann Parker of Lantana, FL. The relatives and friends of Geraldine P. Deas are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, 120 Broad St. Charleston. The Rite of Committal will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by JAMES A.
