Gerald Lawrence Heissenbuttle, Sr

Mr. Gerald "Jerry" Heissenbuttle, 80, died April 8, 2014. The relatives and friends of Jerry Heissenbuttle are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 12, 2014, from the chapel of James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway. The family will receive friends Friday evening between 5:00 & 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery, Chapel Road, Hollywood. Online condolences may be offered at www.JamesAMcAlister.com. Jerry was born December 15, 1933 in Charleston SC, to the late Frederick John and Ann Weatherford Heissenbuttle. Jerry attended The Cathedral School and Bishop England High School and graduated from Murray Vocational School after a tour in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a kind and generous man who loved his family and friends dearly. He was quick-witted and offered jokes to add humor to any situation. He was loved by all who knew him. Jerry retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a General Foreman in the High Voltage Electrical Shop. He was the President of Heissenbuttle Electric Co. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Frederick John Heissenbuttle Jr., and his beloved daughter Casey Lee Heissenbuttle. He is survived by his children, Gerald L Heissenbuttle Jr. (Renee'), Kenneth W. Heissenbuttle (Kathi), Robert C. Heissenbuttle, Teresa H. Rainer (Joe), Donna H. Deets (Johnny), and Pam M. Turner. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Gerald Heissenbuttle III, Cara Heissenbuttle, Jacki Dixon, Jenna Heissenbuttle, Donnie Foster, Jane Marie Rainer, Joey Rainer, Daniel Heissenbuttle, Jesika Deets Orosco, Erica Turner, Brandon Turner, and a great grandson, Maverik Bobby Orosco, and nephews Kenny Hughes Heissenbuttle and Joe Heissenbuttle.
