Gerald Edward Burn

Gerald Edward “Jerry”  Burn, Jr., 66, of Charleston, South Carolina passed away suddenly and peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday, February 5, 2021.

Jerry was born on February 4, 1955, and is the son of Sarah Harrelson Burn and the late Gerald Edward Burn, Sr. He attended Bishop England High School, was employed for 12 years at Cummins Engine and retired after 25 years from Robert Bosch Corporation as a Senior Industrial Engineer. Jerry was a lifelong Minnesota Vikings Fan, muscle car enthusiast and especially loved being out on the water. He is remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his family and being a genuine, empathetic champion for those he loved.

Jerry has been married to his most beloved wife Cornelia Townsend Burn for 39 years and together they raised their three children. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Tara Burn (Jeff) Filegar and Melanie Burn (Charles) Brame and his son, Michael (Lea) Burn. His grandchildren: Franko Gay, Julianna Gay, Capers Gay, Thomas Filegar, Payton Browning, Austin Browning, Charles Brame III, Michael Burn and Andrew Burn. His siblings, Cindy (Joe) Kroll, Stephen (Lynn) Burn, Philip (Kathy) Burn, Greg (Nicole) Burn, six nieces and nephews and many other extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Tony Burn.

His private Funeral Service and Burial will be attended by immediate family.
