G N Messick

Mr. G N Messick, age 84, of Summerville, formerly of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 19, 2012, surrounded by members of his loving family. A native of Coffee County, TN, Mr. Messick was a son of Gilbert N. and Nora Earls Messick. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired Tow Truck Operator. Mr. Messick was married for nearly 61 years to Helen Armstrong Messick, who survives. Also surviving are his 2 sons: Michael Messick and wife Shirley of Murfreesboro, and Dale Messick and wife Alice of Summerville; 3 grandchildren: Shawn Messick of Summerville, SC, Ken Messick and wife Kandace of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jennifer Messick of Readyville, TN; 4 great-grandchildren: Collier Messick, Dylan Chapman, Amberlyn Messick, and Gabriella Messick; and 1 Brother, Willie Benton Messick and wife Jewel of Manchester, TN. Funeral services for Mr. G N Messick are being handled from the Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro, TN. Visiting hours will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, November 23, 2012. The service will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, November 24, 2012, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro.
