Frank Patrick Kanapaux IV of Mt. Pleasant, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 5, 2009. Frank was born in Charleston, a son of the late Frank Patrick Kanapaux III and Constance Finnegan Kanapaux, on Wednesday, February 5, 1958. He was a graduate of Wando High School in 1976 . Frank was a sea man at heart and grew up East of the Cooper where he worked as a shrimper, a sword fisherman, a merchant seaman and was a member of the International Longshoremen's Association Local 1771. Frank worked on the Charleston waterfront for the past several years Frank is survived and will be remembered by his son, Frank Patrick Kanapaux V , his mother, Adrienne Kanapaux. his sisters, Renee Kanapaux Murphy and Tammy Kanapaux Erwin, his brother, Michel Kanapaux along with their families as well as his mother, Constance Finnegan Kanapaux, He also leaves behind many friends who thought the world of him. The relatives and friends of Frank P. Kanapaux IV are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Friday, October 9, 2009, at the Graveside, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends this Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. The Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at the funeral home at 7:30 PM. Memorials may be made in his name to Hospice of Charleston, Inc, 3870 Leeds Ave, Suite 101, North Charleston, SC 29405.They were a great comfort to Frank and his family.
