Frank Joseph Beylotte, Jr., 86, widower of Mary Alice Gehlken Beylotte, passed away in his home on Friday, February 19, 2016. The relatives and friends of Mr. Frank J. Beylotte are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Burial at Bethany Cemetery will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening between 5:00 and 7:00 PM. Frank was born on July 31, 1929 in Charleston, a son of the late Frank and Bernice Beylotte. He was raised in the Catholic Orphanage downtown and attended Bishop England High School. He was a World War II Veteran and retired as a shipfitter from the Charleston Naval Shipyard. Frank was a Golden Glove Boxer in the Navy and would often enter tournaments to raise money for needy families. Frank is survived by his children, Lynn Beylotte Johnson (Clark) and Randy Beylotte; grandchildren, Deanna, Terry, Allysanne, and Chandler Beylotte; and Chelsea Kimbro (Bobby); brother, Harold J. Beylotte (Becky); sisters, Betty Page, Natalie Crosby, and Margaret Carter. He was predeceased by his son, Frank J. Beylotte III and several siblings.
