Frances D. Wilson, 85, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 5, 2011 after a valiant battle with lung cancer. Frances was born on February 4, 1926 to Garnet Wilson Dowell and Wilber Bryan Dowell in Charleston, West Virginia. She spent her childhood years in Dickinson, West Virginia. Professionally, Frances was previously an employee with Coleman Building Supply and the owner/manager of Victorian Delights in Downtown, Charleston. Frances was a wonderful wife to husband Jack Wilson who passed away at the early age of 56. She remarried later in life and spent many memorable years with James W. McNamee. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends. Frances is survived by her sister, Constance Jacobs; her three daughters, Donna Suttle, Dianne Terry, and Suzanne Smith; and five grandchildren, Torry Suttle, Jennifer Smith, Sabrina Terry, Chelsea Terry, and Marissa Terry. She also leaves behind a host of friends and other family members as well as her faithful feline companion, Knuckles. A Memorial Service was held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 7, 2001 at Coastal Community Church, In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Coastal Community Church, 460 Arlington Drive Charleston, SC 29414.
