Frances Schachte Wilson, 88 of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Charles Wilson, Jr., entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 7, 2013. Frances was born in Charleston on August 7, 1925 , a daughter of the late Frank B. and Ruth Miner Schachte. She is survived by her six children, Frank G. Wilson and his wife, Mary; C. Lee Wilson and his wife, Elaine; Henry S. Wilson and his wife, Laura; Cindy W. Daniel and her husband, Bart; Barbara W. Davenport and her husband, Todd; Jeffrey M. Wilson and his wife, Rhonda. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Mark N. Wilson, Charles A. Wilson, Bryan L. Wilson and his wife, Amy; Charlotte W. Billingsley and her husband, Matt; Emily L. Wilson, Sarah W. Bell and her husband, Jason; Caroline D. Ramsey, Frances D. Austin and her husband, Matt; E. Bart Daniel, Jr, C. Wilson Daniel, Matthew T. Davenport, Frances L. Davenport, Hailey R. Wilson and Julia F. Wilson. She also leaves behind nine great grandchildren, Hannah G. Wilson, Maxwell L. Wilson, Samantha R. Billingsley, Shyanne M. Wilson, Matthew L. Reinier, Catherine H. Conley, Henry W. Ramsey, Loretta F. Ramsey and C. Marshall Austin, as well as her sister, Caroline S. Jones and her lifelong friend, Jean Matthews Freeman. Frances sang in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist choir. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where she was active in the Women's Guild, the Perpetual Adoration Society and the Women's Bible Study Group. She was an active volunteer at Blessed Sacrament School, Bishop England High School and St. Francis Hospital. The relatives and friends of Frances Shachte Wilson are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rite of Commital will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM. Frances' guestbook may be signed online at www.jamesamcalister.com.
