Frances Anne Maginn Frizelle, of Charleston, wife of the late Louis Edward Frizelle, entered into eternal rest on September 11, 2015. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Frances Frizelle are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 5 St. Teresa Drive. The Rite of Committal will be private. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday evening, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Mrs. Frizelle was born on Sullivan's Island, SC, on March 10, 1921, the daughter of the late George Bernard Maginn and Nora Sharlock Maginn. She was a graduate of Palmer Business School and Bishop England High School. She was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church and she was also active in the Charleston Community, particularly Crisis Ministries/Soup Kitchen. Mrs. Frizelle was a bookkeeper for Ohlandt's Wholesale Grocery and then married Louis Edward Frizelle of Savannah, GA, during WWII. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will also be remembered by her many cherished nieces, nephews and godchildren. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Margaret Maginn Ferri and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy M. Maginn. She is also survived by her children, Mrs. Mamie Frizelle Stoughton (Rick), Mrs. J. Walker Coleman, Jr. (Anne), Mr. Timothy Maginn Frizelle (Lisa), Mrs. Judith Frizelle Snyder (Robbie), Mr. John Patrick Frizelle (Suzanne), Ms. Margaret Anne Frizelle, Ms. Angela Marie Frizelle, sixteen grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband; brothers, Mr. Bernard G. Maginn and Mr. John P. Maginn; her sisters, Mrs. Catherine M. Simmons, Mrs. Mary M. Soffera, and Miss Helen A. Maginn; her brothers-in-law, Mr. William F. Simmons, Mr. Ferdinand E. Ferri, Mr. Joseph D. Soffera; and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Leslie W. Maginn. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Frizelle may be made to the Bishop England Endowment Fund, 363 Seven Farms Drive, Charleston, SC 29492 or to The Father McCarthy Scholarship Fund at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
