Frances M. Leake

YONGES ISLAND Frances Marie Lamphere Leake, the widow of Albert Thomas Leake, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2013, at the Hospice Center of Charleston. Frances was born on October 20, 1921, in Mystic, Connecticut, the daughter of Frances Gongaware Lamphere and Paul Benjamin Lamphere. She graduated from Memminger High School and attended Marion College in Virginia. Blossie lived most of her life in Charleston and had been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Most recently she resided on Yonges Island with her family and belonged to Christ-St. Paul's Parish. She is survived by her daughter, Frances L. Tovey (Robert) and her granddaughter, Heather E. Tovey. The relatives and friends of Frances L. Leake are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM Monday, January 21, 2013, at Christ - St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 4981 Chapel Rd. Hollywood, SC. Burial, at St. Paul's Cemetery, will be private. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon between 3:00 and 5:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy.
