Frances Mathewes Elliott, 87, of Hanahan, wife of the late Herbert McDonald Elliott, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016.Frances was born in Charleston on Easter Sunday, April 8, 1928, a daughter of the late Ruby Mae and John Raven Mathewes. She attended Memminger School and was a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House in Charleston for many years and an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Frances was the co-owner of General Plumbing Company for more than 25 years. Frances had a great sense of humor and a real love of life. She was a lot of fun to be with and she will be greatly missed by her family.The relatives and friends of Frances M. Elliott are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 13, 2016, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 1150 E Montague Ave, North Charleston, SC 29405. Entombment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Michele Elliott McEachern and her husband, Dennis, her son, Hans McDonald Elliott and his wife Diana, grandchildren: Katherine McEachern, Paul McEachern and Samuel Elliott, as well as two great-grandchildren, Noah McEachern and Dominick Elliott. Frances is predeceased by her husband, Herbert, son, Samuel and her parents.
