Frances Derrick

Entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 18, 2010, Frances Austin Derrick, 89, wife of E. L. Derrick, Residence, Mt. Pleasant, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Derrick are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 20, 2010, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until time of Service. Memorial contribution may be made to Hospice of Charleston Foundation, 676 Wando Park Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Mrs. Derrick was born in Calhoun County, SC a daughter of Samuel and Meta Mae Parlor Austin on Monday, May 24, 1920. She was retired from the Belk's Department Store. Mrs. Derrick was a loving wife, mother and friend. Surviving are her husband of 69 years, E. L. Derrick of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Carolyn Maier of Charleston, SC and Terry Beach of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two sons, Samuel T. Derrick of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Billy Derrick of James Island, SC; one sister, Evelyn Hedgepath of Cameron, SC; two brothers, Samuel Austin of Myrtle Beach, SC and Martin Austin of Greensboro, NC; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
