Mr. Fouad Haddad, 86, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018.
Born January 10, 1932 in Baalbek, Lebanon, Fouad was the son of Toufic and Eugenie Haddad. He owned a printing company and was a professor of Biology at the College Orientale in Zahlé, Lebanon until he moved to the United States in 1981. Fouad retired from the Naval Base Shipyard in Charleston, SC and enjoyed spending many years with his grandchildren.
Fouad was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Aida. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Charleston. He loved traveling and did so extensively as a young man. Fouad is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rosalie, who is related to the Kassis and Shahid families; three sons, Robert and his wife Jill of Columbia, SC; Naji and his wife Angie of Chandler, Arizona; and Ziad and his wife Victoria of Sugar Land, Texas; his grandchildren Nicolas, Olivia, Jordan, Anthony, Cameron, and Emilia. He is also survived by his brother Michel, and his sisters Maggie and Celeste, all of Zahlé, Lebanon.
The family would like to thank the wonderful people who cared for Fouad at Roper Hospice, Roper-St. Francis Hospital, and Davita Dialysis Center with special thanks to his amazing team of doctors, Dr. Edward McNellis, Dr. Edward Morrison, Dr. Bryan Frain, Dr. Nicholas Noblet, Dr. Eric Pride, Dr. Jeffrey Rieder, and Dr. David Ellison, who took great care of him and became part of his family.
