Florence Fender Mason

Florence Fender Mason, 83, wife of Howard S. Mason, Sr., died peacefully at her home in Charleston, SC on August 10, 2021.

The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Howard S. Mason, Sr., are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 12:00 PM, Monday, August 16, 2021, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy, Charleston.  Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Florence was born on September 16, 1937, in Lodge, SC. a daughter of Merle C. Dandridge and Clyde W. Fender.

Florence worked at The Sandbar Restaurant, The Colony House and The Lobsteer Inn. She enjoyed gardening, home improvement, traveling with her grandchildren and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Howard S. Mason, Sr.; a son, Kenny Salmorin (Michelle) of Charleston, SC; two daughters, Lisa Holcomb (Joe) of Tampa, FL and Teri Salmorin (Roger) of Charleston, SC; a step-daughter, Debbie Tyson of Ladson, SC; her grandchildren, Jennifer McKee (Rob), Alexa Holcomb, Mason Owen, Jordan Quiat (Brooke), Elena Salmorin, Adam Salmorin and her great-grandchildren, Olivia & Reese McKee and Ellis Quiat.

Her family and friends will miss and love her dearly.
