Eunice Mae Oliver

Eunice Mae Platte Oliver, 97, passed away at her home in Charleston on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.

A private Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the graveside, St. Paul's Episcopal Churchyard, 4981 Chapel Road, Hollywood, SC.

Mrs. Oliver was born in Walterboro, South Carolina on December 13, 1923, the daughter of Tillman Harmon Platt and Georgie Ella Fox Platt.  She grew up in Adam's Run and was a graduate of St. Paul's High School. She was employed by Charles R. Allen Company and later Planters Fertilizer as a secretary. She married in 1949 and left the workforce in 1957 to start a family.

Mrs. Oliver was predeceased by her husband of fifty-five years, Walter Burton Oliver, Jr, and her beloved stepson, Walter Burton Oliver III. She is survived by her three sons, Page Alan Oliver (Suzie), Arthur Kevin Oliver and Barry Keith Oliver and will be sadly missed.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Oliver believed that she was truly blessed to be able to remain in her own home and be lovingly cared for by her sons Kevin and Keith.
