Ethan Tyee Linhart

Ethan Tyee Linhart, 23, son of Cynthia Dyches and Corey Dean Linhart of Charleston, soared into heaven on angels' wings Sunday, July 3, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Monday, July 11, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 95 Hasell Street, Charleston. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on James Island. A reception will follow at the Parish Life Center of Nativity Catholic Church, 1061 Folly Road, James Island. The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2022, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston. A Vigil Service will be held 7:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Ethan was born in Charleston, SC on January 14, 1999. He was a graduate of Buist Academy for Advanced Studies, Academic Magnet High School and attended the United States Air Force Academy. Ethan was a communications specialist for Jet Logistics Inc., and was in pursuit of his pilot's license and a bright career. He was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church.

Ethan was a gentle and kind soul who had a vibrant personality and brought joy to everyone. He delighted in making others happy. His smile and laugh were both infectious. Ethan loved playing sports, spending time with his family and friends and celebrating life. He was the Student Body President at AMHS his Senior Year and was Captain of his Football, Basketball, and Baseball teams his Senior year. He loved baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, believed in unity through diversity and could pull off tossing oranges in the air and catching them in his mouth better than anyone! He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, nephew, grandson and dear friend to many.

Ethan is survived by his parents Corey and Cynthia, sister Choral Paige, brothers Luke and Conrad, grandmothers Marjorie A. Dyches and Linda Linhart; uncle Glenn P. Dyches (Kelly); aunts Mary Jane Jones (Darrell) and Pamela Dyches; dearest cousins Victoria Singletary, Joseph Singletary (Tina), Scarlett Crowder (Wilson), Brian (Kristen) Jones, Magen (Justin) Berry, Holli (Britton) Childers, Hunter (Mandy) Jones, Mary Jane and Darrell Jones, Landon Dyches, Andrew Dyches and Olivia, his aunt Mary B. Eastman, cousin Clint Eastman, extended great aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Norvell Dean Linhart and Glenn P. Dyches, Sr.
