Emily W. Christian

Charleston, SC - Emily W. Christian Emily W. Christian, 84, of Charleston, fell asleep in death on Friday, July 19, 2013, at her residence. A native of Charleston, SC, she was a daughter of the late Darley and Jessie Riggs Welch. Emily was a Certified Public Accountant, and worked in the accounting profession for 62 years, having followed in her father's footsteps. She was retired from the Carter Lumber Company of Charleston. Emily is survived by her husband of 31 years, Robert H. Christian, her son Glen Stelling, 2 grandsons, Joey Stelling and Andrew Savage. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two of her children, Jackie and Rusty. Emily was an adventurous person, and would try anything once - even skydiving! She loved the beach, cooking, and traveling. Emily was an excellent student of the Bible. She was dedicated to serving Jehovah God, and she looks forward to living forever in paradise on earth. A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM, Sunday, July 21, 2013, from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3312 Bonanza Road, Charleston, SC.
