Elwood Lamar Jordan, Sr.

Elwood Lamar "Woody" Jordan Sr., 70, husband of Vickie Bass Jordan, of Ladson, SC, entered into eternal rest on April 29, 2024, following an extended illness.

Woody was born on March 22, 1954 in Macon, GA. He was the son of Patricia Anne "Pat" Gillis and Harvey Thomas "Tom" Jordan, Jr.  Woody grew up in Byron, GA and after graduation enlisted in the United States Navy. He retired from the United States Navy after having served 21 years. Following retirement, he continued his work with computers. He was a member of College Park Baptist Church, where he found so much comfort. Woody was a wonderful husband and father and always enjoyed helping others. Woody had an emotional support puppy, Bubba, who was always by his side.

Woody is preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Tom Jordan as well as his sisters, Patricia Anne Lundy and Martha Louise Jordan.

Woody leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Vickie; his daughters, Rebecca Holt and Staci Boags (Bryan); his son, Elwood Lamar Jordan, Jr. (Kaci); his brother, Paul Jordan (Barbara) of Byron, GA; several nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Service has not been scheduled at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
