Elizabeth Ashley Hildebidle

January 11, 1981 — November 28, 2019

Elizabeth Ashley Waymire Hildebidle, 38, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on November 28, 2019. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, December 7, 2019, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1695 Raoul Wallenberg Blvd, Charleston. The Rite of Committal will be private.

Elizabeth grew up in Northern Virginia where she graduated from George Mason University. After her son Matthew was born, they moved to Charleston, South Carolina where they’ve been for the last 17 years. Elizabeth’s first and only job out of college has been with the City of Charleston Prosecutor’s office where she worked for the last 16 years. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost, to her treasured son, Matthew and embraced every moment with him. Being around animals began as a hobby and quickly turned into her passion. She began riding horses and met amazing people at Two Tales Stables. Elizabeth was always talking about ‘the barn’ and the rest of her ‘barn family’ as she put it. She developed a real love for horses and riding, and cherished sharing it by teaching kids to ride on the weekends. Elizabeth was an amazingly hard worker and would head out to Two Tales Stables every day after work where she took care of her two horses and 20+ chickens.

Elizabeth was a beautiful woman, loving daughter and mother, and supportive sister. She will be forever missed.

Elizabeth was survived by her son, Matthew Hildebidle; mother, Deborah Waymire; father, Leland Waymire and step-mother, Kelly Waymire; grandmother, Margaret Batt; grandmother, Delphine Smith and her husband William Smith; brother, Nicholas Waymire and his wife Brooke Waymire; step-sister, Brittanie Benton; step-sister, Jessica Benton and nephew, Chase Waymire.

Elizabeth was very passionate about her horses. We ask you consider making a donation to Soul Savior Horse Rescue via PayPal or Venmo instead of sending flowers.
