Elizabeth Anne Terry Thompson

Entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 Elizabeth (Betty) Terry Thompson wife of Lynn B. Thompson. Betty was born in Charleston a daughter of Frank S. and Virginia T. Terry on June 7, 1929. She was a graduate of Memminger High School and the College of Charleston, where she played basketball. After college she opened her own dancing school where she taught tap, ballet, and acrobatics. She also worked at the Medical College of SC as a lab tech. Betty was an avid gardener who loved sharing her plants with others. Surviving are her husband, Lynn B. Thompson; a son, Lynn B. Thompson, Jr. and his wife Michelle; daughters Anne Thompson and Julie Thompson; grandchildren, Matthew and Lauren Thompson; and loving nieces and nephews. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn B. Thompson are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 PM Monday, December 27, 2010 at Stella Maris Catholic Church, Sullivan's Island, SC. The Rite of Committal will be held in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy.
