ELISABETH L. McGEE CHARLESTON~Elisabeth Ingeborg Licktieg McGee, June 1956 - May 2011 resident of Charleston, South Carolina. After a courageous year-long battle with cancer, Elisabeth passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the age of 54. Elisabeth was born in Mannheim, Germany, but lived most of her life in Charleston. She was fluent in German and English. Elisabeth was the daughter of the late Elisabeth Licktieg and the beloved wife of Christopher W. McGee for over 10 years. She will forever be remembered by her sons Timmy, Kenny, David, and Anthony, treasured grandchildren Jacob, Michael, and Timmy, caring in-laws Tommy Collins and Stephanie Jenkins, along with countless friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Elisabeth enjoyed listening to classic rock, spending time with her talking bird Katie and sweet dog Chelsea. Some of her hobbies included sewing, arts and crafts, cooking and baking, tropical fish aquariums and gardening. Friends and family are invited to attend her memorial service on Friday, May 20th 2011, at 11:00 AM at The James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway. Elisabeth's family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. The family graciously requests that flowers or other memorial donations be sent directly to the funeral home or on behalf of Elisabeth to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Rd., Suite 504 Charleston, SC 29406.
