Eleanor Pabst Slagle

Eleanor Pabst Slagle, 85, widow of David Allen Slagle, Sr., entered into eternal rest Friday, May 06, 2016. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Eleanor P. Slagle are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Monday May 9, 2016 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Rite of Committal will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am. Eleanor was born May 1, 1931 in Charleston, a daughter of George and Helen Pabst. She grew up on Rutledge Avenue and graduated from Bishop England High School. She went on to become an operator for At&t and retired from there after 30 years. Eleanor is survived by her children, Margaret Carbone (Rocco), Roseann Labo, Karen Cox (Raymond), David Slagle, Jr. (Vicky), Robin Slagle (Kate), Mary Nichols, Shannon Hoppe (Steven); 20 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.The family would like to give a special thank you to the employees of Hospice of Charleston, especially Nurse Tamara, for all of the help and support during this difficult time.
