Edward was born in Columbia, SC on January 29, 1956, a son of Saint Elmo and Jewel Parniece Gasque Felkel and attended Charleston area schools. Edward was a lover of music, particularly country western. Having been born with cerebral palsy, he identified with and was particularly fond of blind singer-songwriter Ronnie Milsap. His faith was strong, knowing that one day he would be the one walking, running and doing the things that he was not able to do on earth. Edward is survived by his mother of Charleston; his father of Hanahan; his brother: Randall E. Felkel, and his partner, J. Mitchell Crosby, of Charleston; his sister: Stephanie F. Johnson of Hickory, NC. his Fiancé: Susan Bumgarner as well as several half brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins.
