Edna M. Gerardi

February 17, 1933 — February 2, 2018

Edna M. Gerardi, 84, wife of Joseph Frank Gerardi, entered into eternal rest on February 2, 2018. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Gerardi are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 16, 2018, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Edna was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 17, 1933. A daughter of Agnes and Michael Corcoran. She was a loving mother and homemaker. Edna volunteered at Middleton Gardens and with Meal on Wheels for 20 years. She belonged to The Holy Spirit Catholic Church on John's Island. Edna was a resident of Seabrook Island for 19 years and enjoyed golf, skiing, and her volunteer work. Edna loved to watch golf, football and cook Sunday dinner for her family.

Edna lived at Ashley Gardens Alzheimer's Care Center for the last year and a half of her life. Everyone there took such beautiful care of her.

She is survived by her Husband, Joseph F Gerardi; her children, Jill Hiers (Clyde J. Hiers), Dr. Joseph A. Gerardi (Dr. Sharon Gerardi), Joy Gerardi, Jeffrey Gerardi, (Tara Gerardi); her grandchildren, Michael Gerardi, John Gerardi, Christina Gerardi, Joseph Gerardi, and J. Spencer Hiers. Edna was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Corcoran and her sister, Patricia Hartman.
