Edith Risher Todd

Entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 13, 2011, Edith Risher Todd, the widow of H. Allan Todd. She was born April 9, 1917 in Charleston, to Ashley Johnson Risher and Harriett Carter Risher. Edith was a graduate of Memminger High School and retired secretary of the Robert F. Knoth and Company. She was an honorary member of the Garden Club of Charleston, life member of the Ladies Benevolent Society and a member of Citadel Square Baptist Church for 81 years. She was predeceased by her only child, Edith Risher DuTart McCann. She was married to the late J. Steele Du Tart and the late Robert F. Knoth. Edith is survived by two grandsons, Jerald B. McCann and his wife, Amy and John DuTart McCann and his wife Alma; two great grandchildren, Rachael McCann and Brian McCann. Then relatives and friends of Edith R. Todd are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM Friday, March 18, 2011, at the Graveside, Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy.
