Entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 11, 2010, Edith Claire Lloyd Nolan, wife of Richard A. Nolan. Edith was born in Memphis, TN a daughter of Betsy and Parker Lloyd on Thursday, March 27, 1947, was a graduate of Poly Tech High School in Long Beach, CA. Edith was a floral designer with Blanche Darby Florist, was a member of the Charleston Rifle Club's Ladies Auxillary and former board member of the Charleston Bowling Association. Surviving are her husband, Richard A. Nolan; her parents; three children, Donna C. Wheat, Kathern E. Degner and George W. Rourk, Jr. and his wife, Shaundra; nine grandchildren, Meaggon, Brittiany, Cortney, R.C., Fayth, Noah, Marley, Jaycin and Mallory; two great grandchildren: Lane and Logan; as well as six sisters and three brothers. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Nolan are invited to attend her funeral service at 10:30 AM Friday, October 15, 2010 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Interment, Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Memorial Donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 29 Leinbach Dr., Suite D-5, Charleston, SC 29407. Mrs. Nolans' guest book may be signed at www.jamesamcalister.com.
