Earline Smith Tomaszewski, widow of Stanley D. Tomaszewski, died peacefully at her home surrounded by family, on Sunday, August 15, 2010. The relatives and friends of Earline S. Tomaszewski are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, Summerville, SC. The Rite of Committal will be at Grimes Family Cemetery at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends this Tuesday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Earline was born on Friday, June 24, 1927, a daughter of Dan A. and Clara L. Smith in Pocotaligo, SC and graduated from Gray's Consolidated High School. She was employed as a credit analyst for Advance Store and later Western Auto. After retirement, she worked for Belk's Department Store. Earline was a craftswoman and sold her handmade dolls in the Historic Charleston Market for eighteen years. Gardening and bird watching were her favorite hobbies. She was a faithful and loving wife to Stanley for sixty-four years and will be remembered as a loving and compassionate mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Earline is survived by her daughter: Gayle T. Hilzendager of Summerville; her son: Dan J. Tomaszewski of Greenwell Springs, LA; her grandchildren: Harry L. Rumph IV, John A. Tomaszewski, Sam D. Tomaszewski and Ben J. Tomaszewski and her great grandchildren: Abbygayle L. Rumph, Elizabeth A. Rumph, McKenzie E. Rumph and Stanley L. Rumph.
