Dr. Thomas Asbury Hutto, Jr.

Dr. Thomas Asbury Hutto, Jr. entered into eternal rest at his residence on Tuesday December 15, 2015. The family will receive friends at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home located at 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston, SC 29407 this Thursday evening between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services and Burial will be private. Tommy was born in Charleston on June 11, 1953, a son of Rosemary Nelson Hutto and Thomas A. Hutto, Sr. He was a graduate of Porter-Gaud High School, the University of South Carolina and the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia, where he recently served on the Alumni Board. Tommy dedicated his life to loving animals through his veterinary practice. Tommy will be remembered for his athletic accomplishments, his musical talent, his love for the outdoors and his outgoing personality. He was loved by many and will be missed greatly by all. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ginger, three children, Thomas Asbury Hutto III (Lindsay), Eliza Hutto Cantwell (Josh) and Madison Mark Hutto, his mother Rosemary Nelson Hutto and his sister Susan Hutto Robinson (Charles), two grandsons, Bowers Hills Cantwell and Ellis Humphrey Cantwell as well as loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
