Douglas Senour Dudderar, 57, of James Island, died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at MUSC. Born September 20th, 1954 in Ft. Knox, KY, son of the late Dr. Donald Keith Dudderar and Gerry Senour Dudderar. He was raised in Ft. Thomas, KY, graduated from Highlands High School and The University of Kentucky. After college, he moved to Orangeburg, SC with his family and then to Charleston, SC, where he was self employed in tile construction. He is survived by his wife, Alice Lorenz Dudderar; their son, Ian Douglas Coleman Dudderar; daughter, Shannon Ashley Smart and grandson, Keller Grant Smart. Also surviving are his mother, Gerry Senour Dudderar, of High Point, NC; two sisters, Donna Jo Dudderar Crooks and her husband David of Naples, FL. and Kathy Lynn Dudderar Pope and her husband Richard of Jamestown, NC, along with his many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. His compassionate heart and wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, April 19, 2012, James Island Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow at the church.
