Dorothy Louise Vonderleith

Dorothy Louise Priester VonderLeith, 93, of Charleston, widow of John Robert VonderLeith, died Sunday, December 14, 2014. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Dorothy Priester VonderLeith are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. The burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Dorothy was born in Charleston on September 5, 1921, the daughter of Francis E. Priester and Jennie M. Eissbruckner Priester. She was a wonderful cook, a devout Catholic, and a true Atlanta Braves fan. Dorothy was a very loving mother and truly loved by all of her children and family. She will be sadly missed by all. Dorothy is survived by her six children, Linda J. Caraway and her husband, Robert, Carole V. Taylor and her husband, Richard, Kay F. Josey and her husband, Marion, Elizabeth L. Parrish and her husband, John, John R. VonderLeith, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth Vanander, and Michael A. VonderLeith and his wife, Linda. She is also survived by her companion of 30 years, Charles R. Kidwell, 13 Grandchildren and 24 Great-Grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
