Dorothy Ann Dobey Brooks entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 11, 2014. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs Norman G. Brooks are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 3:00 PM Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy., Charleston. Burial will be private. A native of High Point, NC, she was the daughter of the late Keith and Thelma Young Dobey. After moving from North Carolina to James Island in 1967 she spent the next 38 years raising her family. She enjoyed her pool, entertaining and spending lots of time with friends and family. Dorothy was a retired Assistant Clerk of Court with Charleston County for 20 years, where she enjoyed working with the lawyers and judges in the community. She was involved with the Charleston Power Squadron where her husband served as the Past Commander. Dorothy enjoyed the water, boating and all of the social and maritime activities with the other couples. She is survived by her husband, Norman G. Brooks, five children: Tonia Lynn Windham, Kim W. Cramer (Steve), Charles Thomas Windham, Jr., William Keith Windham and Felecia Ann Bostick (Barney); 11 Grandchildren, 6 Great-grandchildren, and 2 Brothers: Donald A. Dobey (Brenda) and Keith K. Dobey, Jr. (Pam). She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Thomas Windham, Sr., and her son, Christopher Craig Windham.
