Doris Diane Manning

Doris Diane Manning, age 69, passed away Saturday July 15, 2017 at the Medical University of South Carolina after a brief battle with cancer. She was born April 2, 1948 in Charleston, SC to Doris Ridgeway Flood and the late Charles Jervey Flood, Sr. Diane was the eldest of six children. She is survived by her mother, Doris Flood; her sisters, Sheryl and Terri; her brothers, Bucky, Michael and his wife Tina, Donnie and his wife Susan; her grandson, Steven; her granddaughter, Hunter; her great-grandson, Christian; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends. Diane is preceded in death by her father, Charles Flood, Sr.; and by her son, Tracy Manning. Diane was retired, and enjoyed spending her free time tending to her plants or relaxing out on the water. She never met a stranger, and will be remembered for her devotion to her family, as well as her deep passion for helping other people. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Diane’s life on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston, SC 29407. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Diane’s memory to The American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
