Mrs. Doris Willie Haselden, 87, widow of the late Talmadge Caldwell Haselden, entered into eternal rest Friday, April 26, 2019. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Doris W. Haselden are invited to attend her Funeral Service 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston. Rev. Stan Cruse will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Ravenel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends between 6:00 and 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
A native of Dillon, SC, Doris was a daughter of the late Annie Cooper and Henry James. She was a homemaker, member of Carolina Bay Church, and a devoted mother and grandmother. She especially loved her grandchildren and spent as much time with them as she could. Her motherly instincts remained throughout her life, and she became a 'mother' to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her devoted family and many friends.
Doris is survived by three daughters: Doris B. Dandridge and husband William, Talmadge C. Haselden, Jr., Hilda H. Miller and husband Roy, and Donata D. Brown and husband Rick; 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren, and 4 Great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by her daughter Linda Haselden, Grandchildren Wade E. Stroud and Wanda S. Tillery, and her sister Sallie J. Gardner.
