Denny Bill Sills

Denny Bill Sills, 56, of Charleston, SC passed away on April 3, 2017. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Denny B. Sills are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:30 AM, Monday, April 10, 2017, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon between 3:00 and 5:00 PM, at the funeral home. Denny was born in Aschaffenburg, Germany on August 10,1960, the son of William Howard Sills and Lieselotte Waddell Sills. He graduated from Goose Creek High School and attended Trident Technical College. He married the love of his life, Mary Byrd, on July 17, 1983. He was the owner of Southeastern Installations and coached little league baseball for many, many years at St. Andrews Parks and Playground with Timmy Linker. Denny was an active fishing enthusiast aboard the Misty Morning. He was also an active caller on fan talk radio stations known as, 'Dolphin Denny'. Denny loved his Miami Dolphins.Denny was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Peter Sills. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Byrd Sills, of 33 years; daughter, Danielle Sills (Arden) and son, Shane Sills (Karen); 5 grandchildren, Michael, Caden, Tristin, Jorja, and Hunleigh; brother, John Sills and many nieces and nephews.
