Delbert Eugene "Gene" Gould, 78, of Beaufort, formerly of Charleston and the husband of Patricia Myers Gould, entered into eternal rest on his birthday, Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Gene was born in Charleston, the son of Albert Lee Gould and Annie Soria Gould on Wednesday, October 12, 1932. He served our country in the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps. Gene was a retired Production Planner with the Machine Shop at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Charleston and an active member of The Parish Church of St. Helena's in Beaufort. Gene is survived by his wife, Pat M. Gould; his five children, Cathy Leal, Sherry Street, Elizabeth Griffith, Eugenia Hutchko and Robert Gould; his two step children, Mary Cook and Michael Burgess; three sisters, Ann McCrary, Janette Harper and Juanita Rybicki; two brothers, Allan Gould and Dick Gould as well as many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. The relatives and friends of Delbert Eugene "Gene" Gould are invited to attend his Memorial Service at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 16, 2010 at The Parish Church of St. Helena's, 505 Church St. Beaufort, SC. The Committal will be in the churchyard. The family will receive friends at the church hall following the committal.
