Debra G. Spry

Debra Gresko 'Debbie' Spry, 69, of Charleston, SC, passed away on July 16, 2023. Her Graveside Funeral will be held 10:00 AM Friday, July 21, 2023 at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston.  The service will be a time for family and friends to come together, share memories, and honor the beautiful life she lived.

Debbie was born on March 18, 1954, in White Plains, New York, to the late Aurelia and John Gresko. Debra was preceded in death by her son, Travis Collin Spry, her mother, Aurelia Gresko, her father, John Gresko, and her brother, Jack Gresko.

Debbie, as she was affectionately known, had a fulfilling career as a nurse, dedicating 35 years of her life to caring for others. After retiring, she continued to share her compassion by working at Goodwill Industries. Her dedication to helping others was truly inspiring.

In her free time, Debbie found joy in shopping and spending quality time with her granddaughter, Makenzie Spry Carcueva. Being a MiMi was a role she cherished and treasured dearly.

Debbie will be deeply missed by her surviving loved ones, including her daughter, Shannon Leigh Spry, her granddaughter, Makenzie Spry Carcueva, and her son-in-law, Kristopher Carcueva. She is also survived by her sister, Gail Wick.
