Deborah Batt Waymire died unexpectedly in her home on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
The relatives and friends of Deborah Batt Waymire are invited to attend her Memorial Service 11:00 AM Saturday, January 9, 2020, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The service will be live streamed, and can be viewed at https://youtu.be/Ilhtro-N-tU .
Deborah grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was the middle of three daughters of Margret and Thomas Batt. Deborah graduated from Cedar Rapids Prairie High School and attend the University of Iowa. She enjoyed family vacations all over the country with mom, dad and her two sisters. She was married and had two children, Nicholas and Elizabeth. Deborah lived in California, Colorado, New Hampshire, Virginia, and finally South Carolina. She worked for Continental Airlines and was a Brand Ambassador and model for several companies.
Deborah raised her children in Virginia, once they left the house she followed her daughter, Elizabeth and grandson, Matthew to South Carolina to be more present in their lives. While in South Carolina she made many great friends and enjoyed her travels to Ireland, Spain, Hawaii, Costa Rica, and Mexico. Deborah was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She always lived for her family, even more so after the tragic death of her daughter to a drunk driver. Her focus of life and love turned to her grandchildren where she was a major part of their lives.
Deborah was preceded in death by her father Thomas Batt and her daughter Elizabeth Hildebidle. She was survived by her son, Nicholas Waymire and his wife Brooke Waymire; mother, Margaret Batt; sister Barbra Rogers, sister Caren Wasta and her husband Philip Wasta and grandchildren Matthew Hildebidle, Chase Waymire, and Cole Waymire.
