David Jerome Roberts

DAVID J. ROBERTS CHARLESTON - Entered into eternal rest on Saturday , May 15, 2010, David Jerome Roberts, husband of Holly Shibhon Hartis Roberts. David Roberts was born in Ft. Hood, Texas, on Monday, July 22, 1974, a son of Francis Jerome Roberts and Kathleen Gary Roberts. He was a graduate of St. Paul's County Day School and president of the Roberts and Son's Sign Company. He was a Captain with the St. Paul's Fire Department. David was devoted to his family, dedicated to firefighting, loyal to his friends and enjoyed the artistic and creative aspect of the family sign company. Many have described him as simply "a good man". He was predeceased by a brother, Darren Alvin Roberts. Surviving are his wife, Holly H. Roberts, his mother, Kathy, of Salem, Oregon; his father, Fran, of John's Island and two brothers, Charles Joseph Roberts and Darius Earl Roberts and his wife, Jennifer, a nephew, D. Brayden Roberts. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. David J. Roberts are invited to attend his funeral service at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Burial will be Private. The family will receive friends this Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home.
