Entered into eternal rest on July 9, 2013, Daniel Lawrence Hinson, husband of Virginia Hilson Hinson. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel L. Hinson are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy, this Friday evening between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Mr. Hinson was born in Charleston on Friday, August 31, 1928, a son of John and Frances Thompson Hinson. He graduated from Murray Vocational High School and attended the Citadel. At Murray High School, he was introduced to woodworking and went on to become a Master Woodworker. He reproduced Seventeenth and Eighteenth Century furniture and took part in the restoration of many historic homes in downtown Charleston. Mr. Hinson was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, The American Legion and honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Virginia H. Hinson; two nieces: Frances H. Amerson and Margaret Hinson and a nephew: J. Monty Hinson. His guestbook may be signed at www.jamesamcalister.com.
