Daniel Carl Harris

Daniel Carl Harris, 75, husband of Dianne C. Harris of Hollywood, SC, entered into eternal rest at his home on  July 11, 2023. The relatives and friends of Dan and Dianne Harris are invited to attend his Funeral Service 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 23, 2023 at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 626 Savannah Highway, Charleston 29407. The family will greet friends following the service in the church parlor.

Dan was born June 26, 1948 in Miami, FL, son of the late Nanelle Rentz and Reddick A. Harris. He graduated with the Winter Park High School, Class of '66. Upon graduation, he attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business. Dan spent his entire career in computer sales and management, starting with word processors and ultimately with laptop computers.

Dan was a loving family man who cherished his wife Dianne, as well as his nieces and nephews Julie Hermanson (Gregg), Dale Thompson (Diana), Sean Coppedge-Abajian (Suzie), and Jeremy Coppedge. He was especially close to his cousin Maddy Allensworth and his good friends and four-legged family members 'the girls'. He was an avid golf and tennis player, having competed in many local and statewide competitions. Dan was an active member of John Wesley United Methodist Church, where he served in a variety of volunteer roles as needed, and was a member of the Red Williams Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be offered to the John Wesley United Methodist Church Capital Campaign, or the Alzheimer's Association ( www.alz.org ).
