Daniel Lawrence Croghan

Daniel Lawrence Croghan, 88, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 19, 2024.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 5 St. Teresa Dr. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church between 10:00 and 11:50 AM Thursday.

Dan was born on October 16, 1935, in Charleston, SC, a son of Leo Michael Croghan and Mathilda Keeler Croghan. He was a graduate of Bishop England High School. Dan retired from Croghan's Jewel Box. He was a lifelong, devout Catholic and participated in the choir at Sacred Heart and Blessed Sacrament churches.

Dan was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Joan Runey Croghan. He is survived by his son, Daniel L. Croghan, Jr. and his wife, Meg; grandchildren, Daniel L. Croghan III and his wife, Dalton and Lauren Croghan; sisters, Carmel Toland of Charleston, SC and Patsy Garris of St. Patersburg, FL; sister-in-law, Barbara R. Detyens of Charleston, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bishop England High School, 363 Seven Farms Dr, Daniel Island, SC 29492.
