Dan Silas Barton

Dan Barton, 74, of North Charleston entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. He was born in Rome, NY on March 11, 1936. He was a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force. Dan had a love for music and enjoyed reading and studying scripture. He is survived by his wife Zafiria Barton; his son Michael Barton and his wife Frankie; his son Gregory Barton and his wife Ginny; his three grandchildren Chloe, Madison and Andrew; and his sister Cora Crump. A service for family and friends celebrating Dan's life will be held at Joint Base Charleston Chapel at 10:00 am Thursday, August 12, 2010. He will be laid to rest at Beaufort National Cemetery with full Military honors at 1:30 PM Thursday afternoon.The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Rd., Suite 504, Charleston, SC 29406 or a Charity of one's choice.
