Constance Agatha Kanapaux

Constance A. Kanapaux, age 78, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017, in Kingstree, SC. The relatives and friends of Constance A. Kanapaux are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM, Monday, July 17, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3871 Betsy Kerrison Pkwy., Johns Island. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will recive friends, Sunday afternoon, between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy., Charleston. The Rosary will be recited at 4:30 PM. Connie was born February 5, 1939 in Charleston, SC to George Thomas Finnegan and Dena (Manos) Finnegan. She graduated from Rivers High School and worked at Roper Hospital and Omar Shrine Temple. She lived life to its fullest, enjoying family and friends. She had a passion for doll house collecting. She married the late Frank P. Kanapaux III in 1957. They raised four children: the late Frank P. Kanapaux IV, Reneé K. Murphy (Greg), Thomas Michel Kanapaux and Tamala K. Erwin (Brad); five grandchildren and two great-grands. She is also survived by a brother, G. Thomas Finnegan and a nephew and niece.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Outreach, PO Box 607, Johns Island, SC 29457 or to Williamsburg Regional Hospital Foundation, PO Drawer 568, Kingstree, SC 29457.
